Down Farm Lane Working Gp

The Council has received a number of complaints from residents, who live at the bottom of Down Farm Lane, concerning the problems caused by speeding traffic coming down Down Farm Lane and in 2022 HWPC agreed to set up an informal Working Group to look into the issue.

The Working Group considered a number of proposals but the one to install a modal filter at the 3 Maids Hill end of the lane, but allowing access to the Golf Academy from 3 Maids Hill, was the only solution that HCC was prepared to consider.

In 2025 the Headbourne Worthy Committee held a survey to understand the opinions of the community to this proposal. The resulting survey did not show sufficient support and therefore the Working Group has been re-formed in order to find another way forward.
