Illegal use of Restrictive By-Way 111/3/3
Headbourne Worthy Parish Council
A resident has brought it to HCC's and the HWPC's attention that there has been improper/illegal use of the restrictive By-Way 111/3/3 that runs from the A272 (oil installation) to Christmas Hill (water tower). The route is a restrictive By-Way which means that motorised vehicles (cars, vans and motorcycles) cannot use the route.
On more than two occasions the resident has had motorised vehicles approaching behind him, which in a narrow lane is dangeous and frightening becuase there is no obvious means of getting out of the way of the vehicle.
In order to make a case to have the entrance to the By-Way changed we need to know if anyone else has come across vehicles or motorcycles using it. HWPC would be grateful if you could email Clerk@headbourneworthy.org.uk with any information regarding vehicles on this By Way, including what was observed and when the infringements have occured. It would be especially helpful if you were able to provide photographs, but care must be taken not to include the vehicle's registration number. The Council will keep a log of the infringements in order to pass on to HCC.
Attached to this notification is a recent photo of tyre tracks and a map of the by-way.
