What is Google Hangouts used for?

You can use Google Hangouts for voice calls, video calls, or text-based chat, and you can connect with multiple people at the same time. When you create a group in Google Hangouts, you can quickly reconnect with the same people later when you click on the group again.

Google Hangouts is the chat app built into the free version of Gmail, and it also offers video chat. You can chat with anyone else with a Google account—paid or free

Is Google Hangouts free? Anyone with a Google Account can create a video meeting, invite up to 100 participants, and meet for up to 60 minutes per meeting for free. It is important that after 60 minutes you leave the conversation correctly.

You will need to install the Google G Mail and Hangouts apps on your device. Click on the Logo above and this will direct you.

You can offer your event participants the ability to chat with you / your audience – in complete anonymity. In order to activate this feature, simply go to your event custom settings and select “Allow anonymous messages” – that's it.
