Stockbury Community Orchard

Stockbury Community Orchard is a traditional cherry orchard within the parish which has been leased on a long-term basis to Stockbury Parish Council for the benefit and enjoyment of the local community.

The orchard provides an important green space within the village and helps to preserve Stockbury's rural character and its connection with Kent's long tradition of fruit growing. As well as providing a peaceful natural environment for residents to enjoy, the orchard supports local wildlife and biodiversity and ensures that this traditional landscape is cared for for future generations.

The orchard is managed on behalf of the Parish Council by a small committee of dedicated local volunteers. The committee oversees the ongoing care and maintenance of the orchard, helping to ensure that the cherry trees and surrounding land are appropriately managed while retaining the natural character of the site.

The Parish Council is grateful to the volunteers who give their time to look after this valued community asset.
