Further to our recent communications, due to COVID related and other staff absences, we are now experiencing extremely low staffing levels across the practice, GPs, Nurses, Dispensary and Administration.

Although we have been trying to source locum cover and continue to do this, our current situation has impacted on our appointment availability and at times we are cancelling or rescheduling these at short notice. Currently we do not have any nurses in the practice until 18th July. If you have an appointment we will be in contact if it needs to be cancelled. This situation is being monitored on a daily basis.

Please note the following:

Blood test appointments, our current wait time for routine appointments is 4 weeks, if you prefer to be seen sooner the administration team will provide you with the form which has the contact details to arrange an appointment at the hospital.

It may take up to 4 weeks to process any administration queries.

You may have a longer wait when collecting your medication from the dispensary. Please remember we require 3 working days notice for requests , it proves very difficult for the team when these requests are outside of this time frame, especially during these periods of staff shortages. Please note requests received after 5pm, either at the practice, online, answer phone messages are not counted until the next working day.

We ask everyone to be kind and respectful to all of our staff, especially when contacting us by telephone or presenting at the practice as you may have a longer wait than usual for us to attend to you. Sadly recently , we have had a few occasions when patients have not been very kind.

We are doing everything we can to continue to provide our services and administration support to our patients. We apologise for any inconvenience caused and thank you for your understanding at this difficult time.
