Sunday 25th September saw the final match for Boughton's 2022 season. The Catherine Wheeler finals day was held at the Whitstable club who put an enormous amount of time and energy into the day, which as a big success. From the match organisation to the catering and bar management, the volunteers worked hard to ensure the day went well and were helped by the weather gods, who supplied a dry day with some sunshine thrown in.

The event winners were new comers Broadstairs, who were delighted with their efforts on the day.

The league winners with 200 points were Ramsgate. Runners up were Whitstable with 170 points. Boughton wallowed at sixth with 122.5 points and no wonder as they lost the home advantage this year since July when the green closed. Better luck next year.

On the bright side, a number of raffle prizes went home and Boughton's own Linda Prior won the spider, taking home a magnum of prosecco.

Boughton's members now turn their thoughts to the short mat season and sign up night is on the 30th September from 7pm at the club house. The bar will be open and captains will be there to chat to the team members and club members in general.
