Boughton-Under-Blean played just two matches last week, starting on Wednesday with a friendly of four triples against Victoria Park. Boughton 49. Victoria Park 85.
Winning rink: Liz Chapman, Paul Mellett and Neil Webber won 20-12
Thursday and a Catherine Wheeler match played at Birchington in windy conditions resulted in a loss. Boughton 83. Birchington 134. Despite one of our rinks losing by one point and another losing by two points, unfortunately we lost heavily and only won on one rink.
Winning rink: Dave Chapman, Nigel Dawkins and Linda Prior won 18-17
The club triples on Sunday started with heavy clouds threatening between spells of sunshine. The clouds won and the competition had to be abandoned after just two rounds.
