Some Rules

Some basic club rules

Clothing

For roll ups grey trousers or tailored shorts must be worn together with either a white shirt or club shirt.

The clothing for matches is shown on the team selection sheets and is usually whites or greys with club shirts.

Footware

Proper flat soled bowls shoes should be worn, usually white for matches but for roll ups other colours are allowed.

Sandals.

The wearing of sandals is done so entirely at the wearer’s risk. The club takes no responsibility for any accidents resulting from the wearing of this type of footwear.

Guests

Guests are allowed to try out up to three times and must be supervised at all times. The cost is £2 per visit and this is deducted from the membership fee if the guest decides to join and is accepted. Trying out might be with one of our trainers or the club coach.

Smoking and vaping are not allowed in the club house, or anywhere around the green. There is a smoking area at the car park end of the club house. Smokers are requested to empty the ‘butt bin’ on a regular basis.

Other rules

Some rules for playing bowls can be found under the etiquette page and competition page.
