The club house

The Club House

The club house is opened by the use of a special code.

The person opening the club house takes responsibility for the health and safety of the session. For example, they would call for an ambulance if needed and liaise with any of the emergency services if required. This is just as important during the winter months when short mat is played. This responsibility can be passed on to another person who would agree responsibility and lock up.  At the end of the session that person should ensure that:

  • All heating/AC units are off including the kitchen.
  • All water heaters and kettles are off.
  • All lights have been switched off
  • All windows are closed and locked.
  • All window blinds are pulled down.
  • The kitchen door is in the closed position.
  • Both the main doors are locked.
  • The equipment store and changing rooms are locked.
  • The keys have been returned to the key safe and the numbers scrambled.
  • The gate is closed and latched.

During the summer the club house is set out with tables and chairs and no bowls are allowed to be brought into the club house. In the winter the short mats are put in place together with some chairs and small tables. There is no smoking or vaping allowed in the club house or around the green. There is smoking area to the left of the club house. Smokers are asked to empty the ‘Butt Bin’ on a regular basis.

Changing rooms

There are ladies and men’s changing rooms available at the end of the club house. The club takes no responsibility for any valuables left in these areas. There are bins in these areas. Please leave the changing rooms clean and tidy.
