Middleton vs Notts

The selection committee has chosen the team for our second, and very important, Middleton Cup game.

Although we lost our first game against the recent champions, we are aiming for a win this time.

We have also implemented some changes originally planned for game 3, while we still have experienced players available to support the transition. This approach will benefit our White Rose campaign—which is one we realistically hope to qualify for—taking place the day after this match, and will help us prepare for next season. As a result, we have made the difficult decision to rest some of our more experienced players to give opportunities to others. We expect that most of the players currently named as reserves will get a chance to play in game 3, if it goes ahead depending on the outcome of round 2.
