The Town Council has received the following report from Shropshire Council kindly forwarded from Cllr Sam Walmsley, Ward Councillor for Clun:

745 bus latest information:

A New Transport Link for South West Shropshire

Shropshire Council and Shrewsbury Community Transport Initiative Ltd, operating as Shrewsbury Dial-A-Ride, are working together to launch an exciting new community transport service designed to help rural communities stay connected to the services they rely on.
The proposed service, known as the Three Castles Shuttle, will provide a flexible transport link between Bishop's Castle and Ludlow, with pick-up points in Colebatch, Clun, Clunton, Little Brampton, Kempton, Lydbury North, Aston on Clun, Long Meadowend and Craven Arms.

The service is expected to operate on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays and will initially run as a two-year pilot scheme. Unlike a traditional bus service, the Three Castles Shuttle will operate as a Demand Responsive Transport (DRT) service. This means passengers can book their journeys in advance, allowing the service to respond to local demand while making the best use of available resources. Developed through a close partnership between Shropshire Council and Shrewsbury Dial-A-Ride, the service aims to improve access to healthcare, shopping, social activities and other essential services, helping people remain independent and connected within their communities.
