Planning Applications
The Parish Council is a statutory consultee for East Devon District Council. All planning applications in the parish are circulated to Councillors, who review and send their comments via the Parish Clerk to the District Council.
Residents wishing to comment on planning applications should send their comments directly to East Devon District Council and copy the Parish Council.
Highway Matters
Devon County Council is responsible for maintaining roads, bridges, and ditches in the parish. The Parish Council reports any defects through the Clerk.
Potholes are a frequent issue. Reporting them multiple times increases the likelihood of repair. Residents can report issues here.
Parish Paths (P3 Scheme)
Dalwood Parish Council works in partnership with Devon County Council, local landowners, and path users to maintain parish footpaths.
- Voluntary Parish Path Coordinators carry out annual inspections.
- A small grant from Devon County Council is allocated for general maintenance, strimming, repairs, and improvements.
- This helps keep rights of way safe, accessible, and well-maintained.
