Local Walks

All walks start and finish at the Tuckers Arms Public House, Dalwood (Ordnance Survey Explorer Map 116, Ref: 249 005).

There is ample parking in the street and also, subject to availability and with the kind permission of the Trustees, in the village hall car park. The entrance to the hall car park is immediately opposite the Tuckers Arms down a narrow lane.

The walks follow public footpaths, bridleways, byways, highways, and in parts of Shute Woods and Horner Hill on private land, with the kind permission of the owners. Some walks include steep sections and can be muddy or slipperyduring or after bad weather.

Safety Notice: Participants take these walks at their own risk. Walkers should be reasonably fit and agile, and wear proper walking boots or heavy-duty shoes. Please keep pets under control, especially where there is stock in the fields. Always close gates behind you.
