Rookley Post Office is now CLOSED. Please join the campaign to have it re-opened.
How does the closure affect you? Tell the Post Office why Rookley Post Office must not close.
The ‘unplanned’ closure of the Rookley Post Office, prompted by the retirement of the long-serving postmaster, marks the end of an era after 35 years of service. Post Office has confirmed there are no current plans to replace the branch located on Main Road, following an internal review of customer demand and accessibility.
This has led to strong community pushback and calls for the decision to be reversed. Councillor Caroline Gladwin, who represents the Central Rural Ward, is leading efforts to maintain Post Office services in the village. She has launched an online petition and is urging residents to send objections directly to the Post Office.
