Southern Water campaign: ‘Make One Change!’

Four tips for the summer are being encouraged:

Swap the hose for a watering can - A hosepipe can use up to 1,000 litres of drinking water every hour. Watering cans are quicker and more efficient. Please use them if you can to avoid wasting water.

Be smart with paddling pools - One full paddling pool can use the same amount of water a family of four would use in an entire day! Find other ways to keep cool if you can, but if you’re using one, try to reuse the water afterwards, for plants, or cleaning the car.

Let your lawn go gold - Brown grass doesn’t mean dead grass! Lawns are tougher than they look and will green up naturally when the rain returns. So, skip the sprinklers – nature’s got this.
