Within the Plymouth Life Centre Indoor Bowls Club (the Club) we have approximately 40 disabled members – ranging from those who want to enjoy a fun packed social morning, league players and elite bowlers - who play regularly.
We have in place all the relevant inclusion policies and have a Safeguarding officer and coaches at our Wednesday morning session who will be able to assist you if requested.

Access
The Club is situated on the lower ground floor of the Plymouth Life Centre. There is a disability access either:
- via the main entrance and a lift to the bowls hall, or
- via a rear door access
Additionally, there are plenty of designated disability parking places all around the Plymouth Life Centre.
Prices
These vary according to sessions, and if you are a club member or not – please Graham Brock via email: disabledrep-lifecentrebowls@outlook.com for more information.
Equipment
The Club can offer:
- A selection of bowls wheelchairs both powered & non-powered.
- Bowls of all sizes and New Age soft bowls.
- Ramps to aid delivery and a large selection of bowling aids.
- We have a small selection of shoes available but flat clean soled shoes are acceptable.
Facilities
- The Bowls Hall, has a large, dedicated wheelchair accessible toilet plus male and female toilets with grab rails.
- The Bowls Hall has grab rails on slopes and around the green.
- There are 4 points of entry wheelchair access straight on to the green which has 8 rinks.
- Plymouth Life Centre has fully trained First Aiders on site, and
- There is an on-site defibrillator in the bowls hall.
- On site café, serving hot and cold drinks and light snacks
Sessions
Scope Sessions Tuesday 10.30 - 12.30
This morning session is open to all, no matter the disability. The session is run by volunteers, and bowlers attend with their carer. This is a fun session and opportunity for all to get involved and socialise over a cup of tea or coffee halfway through. The cost for this session is £3.40.

Wednesday and Saturday 9.30-11.30
These morning sessions are for players with more experience and games are played at various levels. To help you get the most from these sessions, there are coaches available on Wednesday (on request).
