How to Hire the Village Hall
The Village Hall is available for hire for private functions and events by:
- Individuals
- Clubs and associations
- Commercial organisations
- Charities
- Public bodies
- Anyone organising activities for the benefit of the three villages and beyond

Standard Hire Charges
Hourly Rates
- £6 per hour – for individuals, organisations and clubs within the parish of Puncknowle, Swyre and West Bexington
- £7 per hour – for individuals, organisations and clubs outside the parish
Additional Charges
- £15 per booking – use of the kitchen for food preparation, cooking and serving
- £15 per booking – supplementary charge for the sale of alcohol (subject to Management Committee permission)
Hire charges for Government, Local Government and other official bodies, and for commercial enterprises, are available on application to the Booking Secretary.
Concessions
At the discretion of the Management Committee, concessionary rates may be granted for:
- Registered charities and fundraising events
- Startโup periods for new clubs/associations
- Bookings of 4 hours or more
- Block bookings of 6 hours or more
Conditions of Hire
All hirers are required to complete the Hall Hire Agreement.

Hirers must read and abide by:
- The General Terms and Conditions of Hire
- Any Special Terms and Conditions of Hire in force at the time of booking
These form part of the Contract for Hire and contain important information.
Setting Up and Cleaning
Setting up and cleaning must be completed within the hire period, unless otherwise agreed with the Management Committee.
Kitchen Use
- Use of the kitchen for tea/coffee/soft drinks and appropriate crockery/cutlery is included at no extra charge.
- Use of the kitchen for food preparation, cooking and serving incurs a £15 supplementary charge per session.
Alcohol Licence
The Village Hall is licensed for entertainment and for the sale of alcohol.
Permission to sell alcohol is at the sole discretion of the Management Committee.
Where permission is granted, a £15 supplementary charge per session applies.
