Annual Parish Meeting
Next Annual Parish Assembly
The next Annual Parish Assembly will take place on Tuesday 19 May 2026, at 7.00 pm, in Puncknowle Village Hall.
All parish electors are warmly encouraged to attend.
What is the Annual Parish Assembly?
The Annual Parish Assembly is the name commonly used by the Parish Council to describe the Annual Parish Meeting, which is the formal, statutory meeting of the electors of the parish. It is not a meeting of the Parish Council.
The Assembly provides an opportunity for the Parish Council, along with local voluntary groups and community organisations, to report on their activities over the past year. It also offers a forum for electors to raise issues, make suggestions, and discuss matters of local interest affecting the parish.
The meeting is normally chaired by the Chair of the Parish Council and is open to all registered electors of the parishes of Puncknowle and Swyre, including West Bexington and the surrounding settlements.
The Annual Parish Assembly (formal Annual Parish Meeting) must be held between 1 March and 1 June each year and usually takes place in Puncknowle Village Hall.
