West Meon Parish Council has vacancies for new Councillors.

Are You:

  • Interested in local issues and improving the lives of the people living around you?
  • Keen to represent other villagers' interests and ensure West Meon receives the services to which it is entitled?
  • Able to attend one meeting per month?

The Parish Councillor Role:

  • Attend meetings and prepare by studying the agenda and accompanying documents.
  • Be willing to take part in discussions resulting in sound decisions being made for the Village.
  • Represent the whole electorate.
  • Ensure the Council is properly managed.
  • Be willing to partake as a volunteer.

Can you stand as a Parish Councillor?

  • At least 18 years old?
  • A British citizen or an eligible Commonwealth citizen?
  • Registered to vote, live, work or own property in West Meon?
  • Not disqualified? (Please contact the Parish Clerk for full details)
