Prospective West Meon Boules Club

In early January 2023, The West Meon & Warnford Sports Club plans to submit a planning application to build an outdoor Boules Court (sometimes known as a “Petanque Court”) on the Recreation Ground, just south of the Sports Pavilion.

16th December 2022 consultation at the West Meon Sports Pavilion

As part of its submission to the planning authorities the Club wishes to be able to summarise the views of residents and neighbours of the village and to that end its development team members are making themselves available, with drawings and other details, at the Sports Pavilion on the Recreation Ground in Headon View from 2.30 p.m. until 6.30 p.m. on Friday, 16th December.

Alternative online consultation

In addition, for those interested parties who are unable to attend the Pavilion on 16th December, we are providing below the same consultation materials that will be available at the Pavilion.

Having reviewed these materials we hope that villagers will submit details of their support for or questions about the proposals by completing the Comments Card (see below) and sending it by email to or in hard copy by hand to either the Boules Team representative at the Pavilion presentation or to the volunteer on duty at the village shop. The latest date for registering submissions is Sunday, 18th December.
