Essential Maintenance - Front Porch Replacement 

The urgently needed repairs to the front of the hall are underway: 

• The old projector room has been removed 
• The flat roof has undergone extensive repairs 
• The UPVC windows to the toilets have been replaced 
• A new oak porch has been installed 

This is an extensive project and will cause some disruption for which we apologise: 

• There is scaffolding up on the front of the hall but the road access round the hall will be open most of the time. 
• The front doors will not be accessible when the builders are working. 
• The toilets at the front of the hall will be accessible from inside the Main Hall when the builders are not working.  
• The front doors are fire doors but with the other fire doors and emergency exits from the Main Hall we do not have to reduce the hall capacity during the works.

The West Moors Memorial Hall changed its Charitable status on 1st November 2025 

The West Moors Memorial Hall was owned and managed by a Charitable Trust established in 1929.  As you might imagine such an old charity structure gave us considerable difficulty in operating in the modern world.  After 2 ½ years work we converted to a modern Charitable Incorporated Organisation on 1st November 2025. 

You should not notice any changes from this other than a new charity number and new bank account details.  The majority of the Trustees continue to run the hall and the same policies and procedures in place.
