AK Dance Academy - Friday Afternoons Welcome to the enchanting world of the AK Academy of Dancing, where we offer classes from Tot’s Baby Ballet through to Advanced in R.A.D (Royal Academy of Dance) Ballet, I.S.T.D (Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing) Tap, Modern/ Jazz, Disco Freestyle, Rock’n’Roll, Mixed Street, Commercial and Contemporary. Creative Crafters |
Creative Crafters is a friendly group, limited to ten members, who meet twice a month to socialise and craft together. We use the small hall, where we exchange ideas and expertise whilst working on our individual hobbies. These currently include Paper Crafting, Altered Art, Knitting, Needlework, Jewellery and Silk Flower making. Annual membership (covering all 20 sessions) is £35 or Individual Session payments of £3. A 50p kitty donation is made for tea, coffee and biscuits. We meet from 9.30 - 1pm on the 1st and 3rd Tuesday of each month, except August and December (no meetings). |

East Dorset Craft Club |
We are a small craft group meeting once a month to work together and share ideas. Any craft welcome but at the moment we are mainly scrapbookers and card-makers. We also occasionally arrange demos by members of other craft clubs, and visits from mobile craft shops. We aim to attract any crafters who want an informal day to concentrate on their hobby with a like-minded and light-hearted group of individuals – and we provide tea/coffee and biscuits and cake! We meet one Saturday each month in the main hall from 9am to 5pm, and the cost for the day is £10 per person. Flights Country Music Club |
We are a friendly country music club that meet once a month on mostly the last Saturday of each month, but the odd third Saturday. We have live music either a solo, duo, trio or band. K9 Dog Training |
Mondays 5pm to 11pm At K9 Training Centre, we run fun and friendly classes from simple puppy socialisation classes through Bronze, Silver and Gold Awards under the Kennel Club Good Citizen Dog Scheme in West Moors, Ferndown, East Dorset. We also do agility sessions in Gaunts Common, Wimborne, Dorset for that extra special adventure. Rhythm and Dance |
Rhythm & Dance provide tuition in Modern Ballroom, Latin American, Classical Sequence, Line Dancing, First Wedding Dance and Fitsteps for social and medallist dancers of all ages. Both class tuition and private lessons are offered throughout the week for amateur and professional dancers by our team of experienced and qualified teachers. In addition to the regular timetable, monthly socials, dance holidays and events are all offered by Rhythm & Dance. |

U3A |
The u3a is a nationwide network of over 1,000 u3a’s spread across all parts of the UK. The National motto is Learn, Laugh, Live!! Everything we do is to support our motto! We provide study groups aimed at encouraging people who no longer work to join and continue learning and socialising. Groups are run by members for members all of whom are volunteers. It’s learning for fun and social interaction. As well as the specific groups, we offer members a range of activities, events and visits which are open to all. Even trips abroad! We have over 90 different courses or activities this year, from Astronomy to Walking groups and Bridge to Art classes, and so much more. We arrange visits to local places of interest like Mottisfont and Abbotsbury, and have events such as Quiz nights and Murder Mystery Nights. The West Moors Memorial Hall is one of the venues we use. |

Wessex wyverns wargamers club. Monday nights 6.30pm to 10.30pm. Three times a month No meeting first Monday which will on the Thursday. We play board games, Syfy, 40k, historical battles. A very varied programme which is on our Facebook page. You need not bring anything there is always a space for you. Over 18s only. Beginners welcome. |

West Moors Art Group |
Meeting Monday mornings 9-15am to 12noon in West Moors Memorial Hall. We are a group of local people who enjoy drawing and painting and all being at different stages of our hobby. Some of us are just starting out while others are more experienced. Our workshops are untutored, leaving us to help and encourage each other in a relaxed, friend making atmosphere. We are regularly helped and guided by visiting professional artists who demonstrate their techniques and methods. You will be most welcome to join us. West Moors Drama Group |
We are a well established friendly drama group specialising in light comedy and mysteries. Our home is the West Moors Memorial Hall close to the centre of the village (see location map below) For more than sixty years has been producing shows twice a year at the same venue. Many of our actors and supporters have been with us for decades enjoying the company and thrill of drama. Not all wish to tread the boards but instead are invaluable carrying out those backstage jobs Rehearsal Tuesdays & Fridays 8.00pm whilst in production January to April and September to November and perform plays twice a year in April and November. |

West Moors Flower Group |
West Moors Flower Group is a friendly group of approx. 50 members. We are affiliated to NAFAS (The National Association of Flower Arrangement Societies) and have a demonstration or talk most months at our club meetings. In addition, the following week we hold a ‘Fun with Flowers’ session when anyone can have a go at arranging flowers. Club Meetings: 3rd Wednesday of the month at 9.30am for 10am except August (no meeting) & December (2nd Wednesday) Fun with Flowers: 4th Wednesday of the month at 10am except August & December (no meetings) We would welcome anyone who loves flowers to join our friendly Group or come along as a visitor (£7.50) to see what we are about. |

West Moors Horticultural Society |
West Moors Horticultural Society is a thriving organisation with approximately 350 members. We hold two major shows per year. The Spring show in March includes a Daffodil championship. The Summer show in August includes a Dahlia championship and a fruit and vegetable section. Both shows include an element of Handicrafts, Floral Art and Homecraft. In addition, we hold an annual plant sale, usually during the month of May so please do come along for a cup of coffee and to see what bargains you can get! We hold eight talks a year on various subjects of interest, some of which include slide shows. We also have two outings per year. Our coffee mornings are held in the Memorial Hall two mornings per year, in January and October. Anyone is welcome to come along for a coffee and a chat. |

West Moors Painting for Pleasure |
We are a small friendly group meeting every Friday morning 9-15am till 1-00pm in the Memorial Hall, Station Road, West Moors. The group works in most mediums and is untutored, however the members are on hand to help each other with advice and encouragement. There is currently a four monthly subscription of £25-00, which covers the running costs of the group. We are looking for new members of all abilities who will be made very welcome. Please call in any Friday at around 11-00am for a tea/coffee and meet the members of the group. |

West Moors Townswomen's Guild |
Once a month, on the third Thursday 2pm-4pm West Moors branch of Townswomen’s Guild only opened in February 2018 but we now have a very successful group with over 40 members. We would be delighted if you would like to come and see what we are about. We aim to have fun, socialise and educate ourselves too. There are talks of a wide variety, quizzes, baking competitions, parties etc. Our Guild also has a monthly lunch club and a coffee morning in the village. We are part of Dorset Federation of TG and there are other activities such as a general knowledge quiz in September, which 100 ladies have signed up for. The last annual lunch at the Remedy Oak was a great success. Please feel free to contact us or come along to a meeting for a taster. |

Womens’ Institute |
West Moors WI (Women's Institute) meet on the first Thursday of the month in the hall from 2 pm. We are a friendly group of women ranging in ages and on average 35-40 members attend the monthly meeting. We normally have a speaker on a wide range of topics from local history, undercover policing to demonstration on sugar craft. We also have a craft section which meets twice a month and a monthly lunch club and organise occasional coach trips. |

Zumba Gold |
Thursdays 10am - 11am A group fitness class that is less intense than a regular Zumba class. Suitable for anyone who hasn’t exercised before, or for a long time. Anyone recovering from illness or injury, or for anyone that is wanting a less intense workout. The majority of my participants are 50+ but the class is suitable for anyone. We combine strengthening exercises, balance, co-ordination & flexibility in a fun environment. |
