Shropshire Council is urging residents who are struggling to stay warm at home and those that are concerned about winter fuel bills to contact the Keep Shropshire Warm team for support this winter. The Council’s energy advice service has continued to support residents throughout the pandemic, offering advice and support on a range of topics ranging from energy bills and tariffs to grants for heating and insulation.

Fully funded first time central heating grants remain available for urban and rural households who are struggling without existing central heating. We’re encouraging households relying on old electric storage heaters, gas fires and solid fuel heating systems to get in touch today.

Keep Shropshire Warm is a partnership between Shropshire Council and Local energy charity, Marches Energy Agency www.mea.org.uk. For more information, contact the team on 0800 112 3743 or email advice@mea.org.uk.
