Official Opening of Mytton Mill at Forton Heath 10th October 2019

This afternoon the Mytton Mill Development at Forton Heath was officially opened by George Tudor and Mr Onions.

Mytton Mill was one of 7 mills that were situated on the River Perry between Ruyton XI Towns and Mytton. The mill produced flour for bread-making. When it closed in 1965 - 29 men worked there.

The development of the mill represents a substantial development within our parish, comprising of 12 new homes. The mill itself has been converted into eight, 2 or 3 bedroom apartments and 4 new houses have also been built on the site.
