The Parish Council has been offered the opportunity to purchase Zion Chapel, Shrewsbury Rd, Bomere Heath. The intention will be to refurbish and sympathetically extend the building into a Community Centre and Café, providing facilities which will be unique in the village centre.

It is envisaged that with voluntary support the ‘Drop in’ café facilities will provide a social meeting place for all ages and sections of the community open throughout the week.

Before the Parish Council commits to the purchase, public consultation will seek to gauge Community support for the project. The consultation will provide more information about how the Centre/Café will be used and its funding.

Over the next few days every household in the Bomere Heath District will receive a card in the post with information about the consultation. Please keep hold of the card, as it has your household reference number for the survey questionnaire.

Consultation Closes – 17 January 2021
