Conservation Area

We are very proud of our heritage in Broughton and are grateful that we can capture our history still within our modern day setting.   A Conservation Area Appraisal was produced by Kettering Borough Council in 2012 which highlights many aspects of our social heritage and built form.

New development/home and garden improvements including tree works are subject to planning consent in a Conservation Area - the guiding principle for all work to be undertaken is to improve the existing to enhance the overall impression of the Conservation Area or to help preserve what is there.  If you intend to carry out any work, please check for clarity if you are covered by the Broughton Conservation Area with the Planning Department, Kettering Borough Council (Telephone 0300 126 3000).
