St Helena Hospice Day Rules

  1. The day will open with a Spider Competition.
  2. The tournament is an Open Fours Tournament of any combination of male and female players
  3. There will be five games of 6 ends. 3 games played before a lunch break and 2 games after lunch.
  4. The team captains will toss a coin to determine which team has the choice of jack.
  5. There are no trial ends. There will be only 1 point scored on the first end of the first 2 games.
  6. In the event of a miscast jack, the jack will be placed on the 2 meter mark and the opposition may move the mat to a length of their choice i.e. the jack must only be cast once per end.
  7. A killed / dead end will count as an end played without score.
  8. Games will be scored with 2 points for a win, 1 point for a draw and 0 points for a loss.
  9.  At the end of 5 games, if there is a tie on points then shot count will be used. If there is also a tie on shot points, then highest shot difference will be used.
  10. After each game played, the tournament scorer needs to be informed of your score.
  11. All disputes should be presented to the Tournament Organiser, his decision will be final.
  12. The winners will receive the Hospice Trophy, prize money and goody bags.
  13. The runners-up will also receive a share of the prize money.
