Rose Start

Little Marlow Parish Council Rose Start

My parents moved to Bourne End from the Midlands when I was 4 years old, living in Chapman Lane for the past 30 years. Although I've spent many years travelling abroad through my freelance work in the film and business travel industry, at the end of each project I returned to stay with them. After my father died in 2021, I now live with and care for my elderly mother in Well End. Mum was a past President of the Little Marlow & Well End WI. I continue to keep busy with my late husband's forklift hire business based in Kent, and as secretary of the local branch of the RNLI, South Bucks & Thames.

I've always considered the community spirit of our local area truly exceptional and know how lucky we are to still have a few unspoilt beautiful villages such as Little Marlow. Becoming a Parish Councillor seemed a great opportunity to get more involved with protecting these valuable aspects for residents and I look forward to doing the best I can to help.
