Councillor Neil Barrington-Johnson

Neil Barrington-Johnson was co-opted to Speldhurst Parish Council in May 2014 and was elected as Chairman in June 2015, a post he held for six years. Neil is Chairman of the Air Traffic Committee, a member of the Finance, Governance and Planning Committees and a member of the Defibrillators Working Group.

Neil moved to Langton Green with his wife and two sons in 2002. Although he lived and worked abroad for five years from 2006, his family and home remained in Langton Green.

Having returned from his overseas assignment, Neil retired in 2013 and with the luxury of available time and a more stable schedule, looked for ways to contribute to his local community. Together with his role at the Speldhurst Parish Council, Neil is a member of the Langton Green Village Society Committee. He also served on the Langton Green village fete committee from 2011 to 2018.
