Pavilion Bid Process

We're pleased to offer a Bid Document for the provision of a Community Hub at the Langton Green Pavilion. Interested parties can freely download the document below, and the Clerk is on hand to answer questions about the document and the space.

You can contact the Clerk on clerk@speldhurstparishcouncil.gov.uk

The deadline for submission of Bid Documents is June 5th 2026

The bid document contains information about the space and the constraints it operates under. Additionally, we are happy to offer a few FAQs here to complement the document;

Q. How does this affect the current Community Hub in the space?
A. The current operator's hire agreement runs until October 2026. They will have the same opportunity as others to apply.

Q. How will this Bid process affect the Council's finances with regards to the Pavilion building?
A. SPC recognises the significant social and sporting value that the Pavilion building provides to the community. The council anticipates that at least initially, the building will continue to produce a shortfall in income compared to expenditure. SPC's primary goal is to help establish a long term Community Hub for everyone's benefit, and the hourly rate we are seeking bids over reflects this. With ongoing energy reviews, the running cost of the building is still being worked on.
