Centenary Tournament 2021
On Sunday 15 August four visiting teams from local Exeter bowling clubs (Belmont, Exonia, Heavitree & Pinces) played in a tournament against teams from St Thomas BC. The event was run as five matches of four ends with each visiting team playing against a different St Thomas team for each match. It was an enjoyable occasion and the Belmont team won the Visitors competition with the Home Rink of (Bill Roe, Bob Marles, Janet Goldsworthy & Colin Goldsworthy) triumphing as winners of the Home competition.
Club Sponsor Michael Cotterill of TRF Wills presented the trophies to the winners as all players and guests enjoyed a superb tea. The weather kept dry and although Covid protocols prevented some visiting teams attending the afternoon was a great success, and it maybe that the club will not wait a hundred years before holding the next such event.
