Community Council

The Community Council organises social events throughout the year to bring the village community together. The annual events that we currently organise are:

  • Twice monthly cinema evenings
  • Annual Autumn lunch for any village resident who is over 60. (There is a small charge for this if the resident is not a member of the Community Council. Membership is by subscription to the Village magazine).  
  • Sleigh on Christmas Eve which delivers presents to the children of the village, and hampers to the over 80s.
  • The Community Council is also responsible for the Village Defibrillator, which is sited in the old telephone box outside Kiosk Cottage, near the Parish Church.

We also publish a monthly Community Council Magazine which is delivered to subscribers by volunteers. Current subscription rates are £10 for family membership and £5 for a single householder.
