May Fayre - 2024

A big thank you to everyone who braved the rain to support this year's May Fayre.  We'll shortly be publishing our results but, in the meantime, if you would like to bid for funding, please fill in the attached form and send it to Steve O'Connell by 21st July (email at the bottom of the form).

Background Information

For around 40 years, Upper Clatford and Anna Valley residents have been organising a May Fayre on the first bank holiday Monday in May.   It’s a popular village event which attracts nearly 1000 visitors and generally raises over £4000.  Running costs are kept to a minimum and all the profit is ploughed back into local community projects and societies.

A great deal of work and effort goes into organising such an event and we are always looking for volunteers and value their contribution – however large or small.  If you are able to offer any help with collecting, running a stall or with the set up and clear up, we’re always keen to welcome new volunteers. Typically, we need help with the following:

  • Collecting bric a brac and selling raffle tickets
  • Erecting and taking down gazebos, stalls and a variety of tents
  • Running the stalls and children’s events

If you would like to be involved in any way, please fill in the form below:
