Community Poll 2026 Community Poll 2026

The 2023 and 2026 Community Fete surveys show a remarkably consistent picture of residents’ priorities in Little Marlow, with the continued protection of the Green Belt remaining the dominant concern in both years (34% in 2023 and 36% in 2026). Better public transport was consistently the second-highest priority (18% and 20% respectively), demonstrating ongoing concern about connectivity and access to services.

Support for additional family, affordable and retirement housing increased notably between surveys (from 6% to 13%), suggesting growing recognition of local housing needs, while interest in cycle path improvements remained significant, although it fell from 16% to 8%. Other issues, including recreational facilities at Little Marlow Lakes Country Park, community facilities, shops, sports facilities, employment opportunities and electric vehicle charging points, attracted comparatively lower levels of support.

Overall, the results indicate that residents continue to place the greatest importance on protecting the parish’s rural character while seeking improvements to transport infrastructure and addressing local housing needs
