Welcome to Saxilby Public Recreation Ground

Located in the heart of Saxilby, our recreation ground provides beautiful, accessible green space for local residents, sports clubs, and families. Managed by the Saxilby Public Recreation Ground Charity (Registered Charity No. 521978), the site is preserved in perpetuity as a public space for rest and recreation by the residents of the village and hamlet of Hardwick.

Our recreation ground covers [X acres] of dedicated open space, providing high-quality outdoor facilities for local sports teams, families, dog walkers, and community events. Managed by the Recreation Ground Trust, our goal is to maintain a clean, safe, and accessible green space for everyone to enjoy.

Whether you are looking to bring your children to the play park, join a local club, or simply enjoy a walk, our field is open to all.

Preserved for the Community

The land, which is designated land, is safeguarded by the Trust, under Charity Law, to ensure it remains a protected community asset forever. We work closely with Saxilby with Ingleby Parish Council, and rely on community support, pitch hire revenue, grants, events and local volunteers to keep our facilities maintained.
