3G Planning Application 

We have been informed by Tunbridge Wells Borough Council that this application will be heard at their Planning Committee on 11th  September 2024. 

It will start at 6:30pm in the Council Chamber at Tunbridge Wells Town Hall. Please arrive at the reception on Monson Way at 6.15pm to be shown to the Council Chamber.

Item 7.24 in the Committee Report mentions correspondence from SPC regarding support conditional on a traffic management plan. We have clarified with Kent County Council that this statement was not for this application – it is from a discussion in years past regarding plans to ease congestion in the car park. That said, we do not believe this misunderstanding has caused significant changes to the officer's report. 

As posted in our News section, here is our joint statement with LGCSA, from 3rd September 2024, regarding the application. 

A planning application from the Football Foundation via LGCSA for a 3G pitch at Langton Green will be reviewed by TWBC in the coming weeks. 

With over 550 comments submitted on the Planning Portal so far, it is clear that all viewpoints, both in support of and against the proposal, have been thoroughly expressed and would have been carefully considered by the Planning Authority. 

While awaiting Tunbridge Wells Borough Council's decision, both Speldhurst Parish Council and the Trustees of LGCSA will collaborate to manage the Pavilion and recreation ground in a way that maximises benefit for everyone, in alignment with the outcome of the Planning Authority's decision.
