Please note, if you are planning to use train transport during the next week and are not already aware:

South Eastern have emailed to let us know that there will be disruptions to rail services due to strike action between the 5th and 10th November. Strikes will take place on the 5th, 7th and 9th and we have been informed of the following information:

  • There will be a limited service running and some routes and stations will be closed. Please only travel by train if absolutely necessary. If you are travelling, expect severe disruption, plan ahead and check your entire journey.
  • Only 45 out of 180 Southeastern stations will be open. No rail replacement buses will serve stations that are closed.
  • You may be unable to board trains at stations where a limited service is running, especially at locations such as Ashford and Ebbsfleet.
  • The last trains back from London will be much earlier than usual.
  • Below is our service availability map. Timetables will be published on our website shortly, and journey planners will be updated from Tuesday 1 November.
  • For alternative transport options visit traveline
  • If you are travelling on the day after strike action our services can’t run until 07.00 when Network Rail staff begin their shifts. Please note that first trains may be busy, and queueing systems could be in place to manage space on trains, so please plan ahead, check your entire journey and allow extra time.
