Dogs not allowed within King George V Playing Field
Temple Ewell
A polite reminder that dogs (apart from Guide Dogs) are not permitted anywhere within King George V Playing Field; this includes use of the footpath between the school gates and the Public Footpath leading to Lower Road.
Dog owners wanting to travel between these points must use the Public Footpath that goes starts in Church Hill and runs behind the School before descending into Lower Road.
In recent months, despite the signs on all entrance gates, we have seen an increasing number of people walking dogs within the playing field area, as well as utilising the privately owned litter bins for the disposal of dog waste which is illegal. One of the main reasons for the banning of dogs is to protect the health and safety of the children from the School (who are Licensed to use the field).
The majority of the field is covered by CCTV, and this together with observations from Parish Councillors and Staff will be used to prosecute persistent offenders.
