Meetings

The Finance Committee meets four times a year in March, June, October and December to consider grant applications. Grants are considered for local charities or voluntary organisations in the Parish or who benefit residents of the parish. If you are part of an organisation that would like to be considered for a grant, please contact us on 616363 for an application form, or you can download a form here.

The Allotment Committee meets twice a year to discuss general management of the allotments and to consider the rental charge for plots which has remained at 10p per square metre since we took over management of the allotments from the Borough Council in 1995. The allotments are sited at the end of Stanmore Drive, Trench. If you would like to apply for an allotment plot, please contact us on 616363 for a form or download one from here. We do have a waiting list for plots and sometimes we may not have anything available for several months.

The Planning/Working Committee usually meets monthly. The Parish Council is a consultee on all planning applications and is responsible for commenting on all the applications that are within the parish council’s area. Our comments are passed on to the Borough of Telford & Wrekin who are the Planning Authority and they make the decision as to whether the application should be permitted or refused, after taking into consideration our comments or objections together with those of other bodies and individuals. Plans for all applications are available to view at the parish offices, by appointment, by telephoning 616363. Dates and times of our Planning/Working Committee meetings are put on the parish council notice boards just inside the Wrockwardine Wood Infant School gate.

The Christmas Party Committee usually meets twice a year, in September and November to arrange the Senior Citizens Christmas Party.
