May

Wednesday8th      Home  v Chelmsford A - a good start to the season with rinks 1 and 2 winning and rink 3 pulling through to draw.  Final score of the evening 66 shots to Maldon and 41 to Chelmsford 'A' resulting in 9 points for Maldon and 1 to Chelmsford.  Let us hope the good luck continues. 

Wednesday 15th     Away v Southminster - Unfortunately this week the result was not so good for Maldon as Southminster won with a final score of 8 points to Southminster and 2 to Maldon.

Wednesday 22nd    Home v Great Baddow A - On a horrible wet evening Maldon won on two rinks and lost on the third gaining a total score of 53 shots compared to Gt. Baddow's 52 resulting in 8 points to Maldon and 2 to Great Baddow.   

Wednesday 29th     Away v Danbury A -  Maldon received the full 10 points tonight as they won on all three rinks with a total score of 68 shots compared to Danbury's 58

June

Wednesday 5th      Home v Burnham 'A' - Maldon won on two rinks with Kevin Cornwall and Tony Wallis playing skips but lost by one shot on Andy Squires rink.  This resulted in Maldon gaining 8 points and Burnham 'A' 2 points.

Wednesday 12th    Away v Falcon A - Another 8 - 2 win to Maldon A team with wins on two rinks and a total of 76 shots compared to Falcon's 43.  Well done to all. 
Wednesday 19th    Away v Writtle A -  another good win this week with two rinks winning and the third rink losing by 3 shots.  Total points gained 8 for Maldon and 2 for Writtle.  At the half way stage Maldon A are five points clear at the top of the league.

Wednesday 26th     Atkinson Shield (1st Rd) Away v Tillingham - won the first round.  The team lost on won rink but won on the other two and had a total score of 69 - 53.  

July

Wednesday 3rd     Home v Writtle A - Maldon lost by 1 shot on Andy's rink but managed to win on the other two rinks and gained a total score of 69 shots and Writtle A 48.  Therefore Maldon gained 8 points and Writtle 2.

Wednesda10th - Home v Falcon A - match postponed due to the England football match.

Monday 15th - Atkinson Shield match against Stock A - a good close game which was decided on the last ends with Maldon winning on two rinks and gaining an overall score of 59 shots to Stock's 56.  Maldon therefore go through to the next round.  

Wednesday 17th    Away v Burnham A - Maldon won by one shot overall and gained 6 points to 4.  

Wednesday 24th    Home v Danbury A - Two Maldon rinks won convincingly on rinks 2 and 3 with scores of 27 - 15 and 29 - 11.  However it was was touch and go on rink 1 which had Tony Wallis as skip.  Maldon were 14 - 16 down coming into the last end when they managed to gain 3 shots giving them a total of 17 shots.  Maldon therefore ended up with 73 shots compared to Danbury A's 42 and they gained a total of 10 points.  

Wednesday 31st    Away v Great Baddow A - unfortunately Maldon lost on all three rinks with scores of 11 - 27, 17 - 24 and 15 - 27 so therefore scored no points. 

August

Friday 2nd -  rearranged match against Falcon A.  Maldon won on all three rinks with a total score of 67 shots to Falcon's 59.  Match resulted in 10 points for Maldon.

Wednesday 7th     Home v Southminster - this was going to be a close game and one that Maldon needed to win.  At the end of the match Maldon had managed to win on all three rinks with a total score of 63 compared to Southminster's 47.  A win of 10 points to Maldon.  Last game coming up next week.

Monday 12th  - Semi-Finals of the Atkinson Shield - Maldon played Chelmsford A and won on one rink but lost on two however their overall score was 65 compared to Chelmsford's 52.  Maldon now play the final on Sunday 1st September.

Wednesday 14th   Away v Chelmsford A - well the Maldon A Team won tonight by 2 shots 57 -55 which resulted in them becoming second in the league a great achievement.
