Chelmer Triples League - the Ladies finished second in the league which was a very good achievement as this was only the second year of entering the League.

Saturday 1st - Ladies Day What a lovely afternoon we had on Ladies Day. The Ladies Captain, Cherry Richardson, and Club President, Colin Wall, welcomed everyone to the club, 19 players and 18 social guests and explained the format for the afternoon which would comprise of five rinks being used with all players having 2 woods and scoring being 4, 3, 2, 1 nearest to the Jack. After playing nine ends and a cup of tea we took to the Green again for a further nine ends. We were then treated to an excellent tea prepared by Cherry and her helpers ably assisted by some of the men who provided the refreshments. The afternoon concluded with a raffle and presentation of prizes to the winner and runner up Helen Philpott and Brenda Ward.
