Regulation 16 Consultation

Regulation 16 is the next step in the Neighbourhood Plan process, in which the Parish Council submits the approved Neighbourhood Development Plan to TVBC as the local planning authority. TVBC has now checked that the submitted proposal complies with all relevant legislation, and being satisfied that it does, will:

• publicise the proposal for minimum 6 weeks and invites representations
• notify consultation bodies referred to in the consultation statement
• appoint an independent examiner (with the agreement of the Parish Council)

After this the Independent Examination takes place and assuming that the Examiner is satisfied with the proposed NDP, it then goes to a Referendum of all in the Parish to vote on the adoption of the plan.

TVBC has now confirmed that the Regulation 16 consultation has commenced for an 8 week public consultation. This took place on Monday 13th July and will last until Tuesday 8th September.

During this time TVBC will make enquiries about the availability of examiners and provide a list and resumes to the Parish Council to enable us to choose the Examiner who will review the Neighbourhood Development Plan.
