Billericay Bowling Club Home



About Us

Billericay Bowling Club is based in the beautiful park here in Billericay known as Lake Meadows and can be found using postcode CM12 OAQ  or what3words:  purple.bells.system  on the app or via website

We have a six rink lawn grass green and clubhouse that is owned and maintained by the local council.

Our club is open to men and women of all ages and abilities and currently the membership consists of approximately 70 men and 30 ladies.
Bowling opportunities include social bowling sessions e.g. roll ups, club morning and friendly matches against other clubs.
For the more competitive players, playing in local leagues and competitions at club, county and national level may be undertaken.

The summer season commences 1st May and finishes late September.
Playing can continue through the Winter period with indoor friendlies, and there are several indoor clubs in the area that you can join to maintain your interest and skills.

Team renames are  Sth.Ben D = C, Pitsea C = B, Runwell D = C

Carerras are entering a second team.
This results in a Division adjustment and, per the rules, I have moved Billericay "B" to Division 3.

Bowls Coaching

Billericay Bowling Club has qualified coaches who are all keen and willing to coach and mentor any member or group of members.  
Please contact our coaches directly - contact details are in the ‘members only’ section of the handbook, or discuss your needs at any club session.  
All our coaching services are free to members.

Rex Hobbs,  Level 2 English Bowls Coaching Society (EBCS)
Brian Hyland  Level 2 Coach bowls.

Brian has undertaken additional Coach Bowls courses in safeguarding (adults and children); disabilities and mentoring.

September is generally free from district league matches and so is a great opportunity for individual and group coaching.


Club Group Sessions.

Relevant playing tickets must be held.

Every Thursday of the season.
ALL are welcome.
Meet at 9.45 for a 10am start.

Lynn/Tony Martin run club mornings.


Jim Collins is also managing a Monday afternoon session (start 2pm) for 'improvers'.
Come and join in a friendly roll up, with members on hand to offer assistance if required.
