LADIES' COUNTY MATCHES

TOP CLUB

Billericay got a bye in the first round. In the second round we came up against Wickford where, fielding our strongest team, we won on three of the four rinks to score 6-2 and take us into round 3.

Round 3 saw us up against the strong team from Rayleigh and, despite some very good bowling on our part, we were beaten on all four rinks to lose 0-8

All of our Ladies had a good team spirit and represented the club honourably .

We were drawn against South Benfleet and Canvey in the first round who are a strong team.

The team playing at home ( Catherine, Jo, Lynn, Sue) lost by 6 shots (14-20) 

The team playing away (Lorraine, Marion, Jean, Val) lost by 4 shots (16-20) 

so an overall loss 30-40

As with Top Club our ladies represented Billericay with honour and a good team spirit.
