Ancient Cathedrals:

 Winchester Cathedral  Link

Winchester Cathedral is the Mother Church of the Diocese of Winchester, which is part of the Church of England. The Cathedral has its origins in the 7th century, when a Christian Church was first built on this site.

Salisbury Cathedral  Link

For over 750 years pilgrims have come to Salisbury to seek inspiration in the glory and peace of the building and surrounding Cathedral Close. Whether you come to worship, to marvel at or climb up to Britain's tallest spire, to be awed by the beauty and scale of the cathedral interior or to study the original Magna Carta in our Chapter House, we welcome you.

Highclere Castle  Link

Highclere Castle has been the home of the 8th Earl and Countess of Carnarvon since the late Earl died in 2001, and the home of their ancestors, the Herbert family since the early 18th century. It was the 3rd Earl who built the present house in 1842 and his son, the 4th Earl who arranged the rooms. It is their faces that look down at us from the walls of Highclere today; for more about the History of Highclere, why not view their Website?

Newbury Racecourse  Link

Newbury racecourse is over 100 years old and as such combines heritage with everything a modern sporting and events venue can offer.

The Kennet & Avon Canal is one of our most well-loved waterways. The 87 mile long canal links London with the Bristol Channel, and passes through some spectacular landscapes including West Berkshire and the rolling Cotswolds. But this haven in southern England faced closure in the last century and was only brought back to life thanks to the tireless dedication of volunteers.
