We have been asked to help promote these surveys and if you spare the time to complete/circulate, that would be very much appreciated:

Acton Scott Historic Working Farm Survey

Acton Scott Historic Working Farm offers an insight into rural life at the turn of the 19th Century. It was founded by Thomas Acton, who sought to keep alive the farming practices and traditions he grew up with. Shropshire Council would like to find out more about people’s experiences of visiting Acton Scott Historic Working Farm, which today offers demonstrations of period skills and visits from the wheelwright, farrier and blacksmith, providing a picture of life as it might have been on a Victorian country estate. The 19th Century Old School offers café facilities for visitors, there is a gift shop on site and regular special events. Shropshire Council would like to gather feedback and learn more about the type of experience visitors would like to have when spending time at Acton Scott Historic Working Farm in the future.

Please support this work by completing the survey below before 2nd October 2020.

Carers Survey

Shropshire Council is commissioning its adult carer support service in Shropshire and recently issued a survey in order to gather thoughts and ideas of what a service should provide from a wide range of carers, with different experiences and situations, in order to help shape these services. It’s important to the council that the services we provide are well-designed for the people who will be using them. The feedback received will help in future service and commissioning design. Shropshire Council is hoping to hear from adult carers with a wide range of personal experiences and different circumstances. For more information, or if you would like more involvement please contact Margarete Davies, Carers Lead on 01743 255776 or

The survey will close on the 27 August. Find a copy of the survey here:
