The Honeypot 303 OBR

The Honeypot - memories by Jean-Luc Addams

L

This was opened late 70's (ish). They used to hold annual openings where they opened up the house and gardens, so you could see the kitchen and works where they stripped the honey and made things. the garden was very detailed and lovely with the bees being kept at the very back.

The Shop itself was very small originally the front room I would have thought. you went in and on the left was the counter in front of you was a door to the kitchen and on the right was jars of honey and other things.

What was soo interesting to us (kids) was they also sold sweets. They had a section on the front counter selling penny things, so you could go in with 10p and come out with a bag of sweets. penny chews, BazookaJoe gum, white chocolate mice, rhubarb and custard chews, blackjacks, etc.

I can't think  of their names, But he did a lot of the back work and tended the bees and she worked the shop. There was always home made cakes too - all with honey of some kind!
