Cottage Lane- Cottage Farm continued

The first article from the Bromsgrove Messenger 12 September 1931 gives a flavour of how crime was dealt with, and tells us the farmer was Edward Rutter. The second article is from Bromsgrove Messenger 2 March 1935, tells of the sad death of Mr Rutter's father William Edward Rutter

20 August 1945 - The Brookhouse (Brookhouse Road)

Two fighter planes, Mustangs KM113 and KM201 of 303 Squadron collided and the pilots, both Polish, were killed. W/O A Rutecki and F/Sgt S Magdziak, The story at the time was they collided doing a "victory roll" celebrating the end of the war,  The wreckage was on both sides of the road but mainly on the sand pit.
