Local Walks



A series of walks in and around Marlbrook and Lickey taking in roads, alleyways, bridleways and public footpaths. They have all been designed to be taken entirely on foot. However, you could drive to a more suitable or convenient starting point if required. The walks are all circular.

6   HERE WE GO ROUND THE MARLBROOK TIP - 2.5 miles - 55 minutes

7   MANOR, MOTORWAY AND A MERRY MONARCH - 6.5 miles - 140-180 minutes

8   RAMBLE AROUND ROUND HILL - 2 miles - 45 minutes

9   TO THE MONUMENT - 3 miles - 70 minutes

10  NATIONAL CYCLE ROUTE 5 - 3.5 miles - 80 minutes

11  GOLF TEES AND FRUiT TREES - 3.5 miles - 100 minutes

12  TO THE WOODS,TO THE WOODS! - 3 miles - eighty minutes

13  THE LICKEY ENDER! - 3 miles - 65 to 70 minutes

14  THE ULTIMATE GUIDE TO OLD BIRMINGHAM ROAD - As long or as short as you want.

15  TO SEE ST MICHAEL & ALL ANGELS - 4.5 miles - 120 minutes

16  TO A WILD MOOR AND FAIR FIELD - 3.5 miles - 120 minutes

17  PILGRIMAGE TO THE RIVER REA - 3.5 miles - 120 minutes

 

18  THE M42 CATSHILL INTERCHANGE - 3 miles - 100 minutes

These walks were all carried out during the "Lockdown" stage of the fight against the Covid-19 virus. They were designed for members of the Lickey Community Group so they could vary their route when taking their permitted one daily exercise walk. All can be carried out on foot from home and each has a starting point of the Tesco Express store as this is a local landmark known to all in Marlbrook and Lickey.
