Village Playing Field

The village playing field is owned and serviced by Salterforth Parish Council.

It is very popular with the village residents for dog walking, meeting friends, using the children's playground and also for kids to have a kick about.

ORGANISED EVENTS

The playing field is available to hire for free for organised events and activities, whether they are paid for, ticketed, vouchers, or free.

If you wish to hold an organised event or activity on the playing field please ensure you contact Salterforth Parish Council, before arranging anything, to ensure the field is available for your planned event and not already booked for another activity.

In the interests of safety for both parties Salterforth Parish Council would also need to hold a copy of a valid Public Liability Insurance Certificate with a minimum £5 million cover, which fully covers the organised activity taking place and a detailed risk assessment.

Organisers are required to ensure that any equipment used for their activity/event is used correctly and in the manner it was designed for.

Organisers are also responsible for making sure that the playing field is left in good condition with any litter, temporary structures or otherwise removed at the end of the event.

If you are considering an event Pendle Borough Council have written an "Event Guidance Notes" document on what to think about and how to proceed

To book Salterforth playing field for an event please download our booking form (below) and forward to the Parish Clerk when completed.   No payment to use the field will be required.  It is free (one of the few things that is!), but the Parish Council will need the relevant paperwork when booking.
